The ever-entertaining Tim Fite has announced that he will be releasing the follow-up to Over the Counter Culture, titled Under the Table Tennis, for free on May 18.
Fite is a rock/country/rap/experimental musican from Brooklyn. He’s released at least four other albums or EPs for free in the last few years — he does Halloween EPs and now Valentine’s Day ones as well. You can go to his website and download — get this — seven albums.
Fite usually has pretty colourful social commentary in his lyrics, and his label Anti- says that this album is mostly about the crazy economy. On May 18, go to his website and you’ll be able to download it.
Fite will be in Toronto on May 20 at the Drake Hotel. I suggest you check out what his live show has to offer. I’ll give you a taste from a show I saw in 2008 here:
